GUEST POST by GG-iol: Café Tissardmine is an artist’s residence in Tissardmine, a very small village in Morocco, at about 30 km, 45 minutes drive off the road in the Sahara desert, from the small towns Rissani and Erfoud.
In January 2020, artist in residence, I lived here and recorded sounds: the voices of the place. Voices of nature, voices of animals, voices of people, rare voices of technological instruments and mechanical means.
In support of the almost 40 hours of audio recordings I took photos and shot videos.
In this fragment, recorded inside Café Tissardmine, you can mainly hear voices coming from beyond the wall.
