The Atom Trail is a short circular walking trail around one of East Lancashire’s intriguing “Panopticans” or artistic “sculptures” offering stunning viewpoints. The Atom looks down on the village of Wycoller and its Country Park.
Visited this artwork today, sadly the centre bit have been destroyed. The sound is quite fun to listen to as you walk around inside. I hope it comes across as I was walking around dragging my feet, taking photos and knocking on the atom. Oh and it’s bigger than you think :)
Well worth a visit if not just for the great view over Pendle Hill and the walk into Wycoller.
